5K Race Training

Training starts on Sunday, April 2, 2017!  Register NOW!

Train the RIGHT way for a 5K race -- with an experienced coach and a structured training plan to get you to the finish line.

We will be holding both a Couch to 5K group for beginners and an Intermediate group for experienced runners.

Goal Race

The Freihofer's Run for Women on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 9:00 AM.  Click here for more race information.

Prerequisite

Couch to 5K:  There are no prerequisites for this group.  Participants must be physically able to walk and have no physical conditions that would inhibit the progression into running.

Intermediate:  Participants in the Intermediate group must be able to run or run/walk 3 miles.

Meeting Time

Couch to 5K:  Sundays at 9:00 AM, starting Sunday, April 2.
Intermediate:  Sundays at 8:00 AM, starting Sunday, April 2.

10-Week Program Includes:

  • Weekly Group Runs on Sundays
  • Weekly "Homework" Training Plans
  • Support, Guidance, and Accountability
  • Race Day Support at the Freihofer's Run for Women

Please note that there will be no group runs held on April 16, May 7, or May 28.  Participants will be given an independent run to do on their own on those days instead.  The program cost has been adjusted accordingly.  Also, the final meeting will be at the Freihofer's 5K on June 3, not on Sunday, June 4.

Cost and Registration

The all-inclusive program costs $100.
